Signs, monuments and a small museum draw attention to the possible landmarks of the death of the possibly famous outlaw.
The town does what it can to swagger the swagger, despite the insistence of Wikipedia's collective wisdom that historians have dismissed the local legend. Personally, I like Hico's style. They take their probably false history seriously around here, but never too seriously.
Maybe I could add Hico to my ever growing list of blogged places I'd quite like to live (so far San Francisco, Catalina, Sedona and on a cruise ship). With a population of under 1,500 people Hico is a pretty small town, but they do seem to have an excellent range of products available at the local stores.
