My Birthday

A short entry, for a rather bleary birthday. This was the day when the Fijian Flu totally seized control of my body. As such, my memories are rather vague. Souvenirs that outlasted the flu include a ticket on an ocean cruise to Mexico, a very warm coat (likely to appear in several photographs on this blog), a thermometer and half a pharmacy store from Dad and Patricia. Marcus gave me a warm scarf and two books of poetry. This is part of a cultural exchange program in which he exposes me to Fresnan literati and I tell him lies about dangerous Australian fauna. Scott also provided the considerable pleasure of his company at dinner. The cough, runny nose and fever were all my own.
