Driving across California
The drive from Sacramento back to the coast at Point Cabrillo, was an interesting one. The first part looked a lot like this.
There were seemingly endless dry yellow hills and slimy green lakes on which Americans who are smelling impaired can vacation together without ever having to see an able-nosed person.
Then the yellow hills gave way to dense pine trees, which were gradually replaced by redwoods as I passed through Willits, self proclaimed "Gateway to the Redwoods."
I reached the coast again at Point Cabrillo and visited this tiny lighthouse on the escarpment. Alas, the views were almost obscured by the typical California haze, so I photographed the lighthouse instead.
