Carrick-A- Rede Rope Bridge, Northern Ireland

This was the single most disappointing tourist experience I had on the whole trip. We lined up for ages and we even paid for the dubious privilege of walking across a short, sturdy rope bridge. We then turned around and lined up to walk back across the bridge.

I have renamed this the Crap-A-Rede Rope Bridge. If you're ever in the area, don't stop. Or, better yet, do stop and ask them for my money back.

Of course, whenever you start complaining about having to wait in line in Ireland, there is an honest little part of you that has to admit that there are many less attractive places to stand around and admire the scenery.
